Je vais commencer à afficher des photos de projets en préparation ou en production. De façon à montrer la progression de certaines images du croquis jusqu'à l'illustration finale. Chaque message sera étiquetté avec «Sur la table» pour faciliter le suivi.
I will start posting photos of work-in-progress or projects in production. The idea is to show the evolution of certain images from sketches to final illustration. Each of these posts will be labeled «On the table» to facilitate follow through.

Après une bonne tempête de pluie et une tente pas tout à fait étanche, nous avons été obligés :-) de passer quelques à la charmante Auberge St-Simon. Les chambres sont mignonnes et la nourriture est excellente. Selon la légende locale, un fantôme bienveillant hante l'auberge. Un soir après une expérience de fabrication de pigment à partir de coquilles de moules écrasées, je laisse mon carnet de croquis ouvert sur la table de nuit pour permettre à la petite flaque de pigment de sécher. Voici ce qui est apparu le lendemain matin...

We we forced :-) to sleep at the charming St-Simon Inn after a big rainstorm and a leaky tent one night. The rooms at the inn are really quaint and the food is delicious. According to the local legend, a benevolent ghost haunts the place and makes the lights flash intermittently (I suspect really old wiring myself ;-) But one night after experimenting with making pigments from crushed mussels shells I left my sketchbook open to let the puddle of colour dry slowly. Here's what appeared the next morning...
